The fourth name to be carried by this station. Originally Bishopstone Beach, then Bishopstone Halt, then, after the opening of the current Bishopstone station, Bishopstone Beach Halt until closure on 1st January 1942. The current name is possibly unique in being a renaming after closure with no prospect of reopening. This fact, and indeed the current name, is unlikely to appear in the official records.
