Newhaven East Pier - towards the end
The dark area along the foot of the pier is piling that holds back the sand from encroaching on the navigation channel on the other side. It runs along the far side of the pier, and is too high to see over. Holding the camera overhead whilst under the pier produced a view of the western breakwater, but it was merely a dark bar dividing a wet grey from a less wet grey!
