North Walney National Nature Reserve
North Walney National Nature Reserve
Looking across the meadows towards North End Dunes. The reserve is a wild and remote place; a complex coastal site with a mixture of sand dunes, slacks, salt marsh, wet and dry heath and grassland. The foreshore is good for birds and it has an important population of natterjack toads.
