The church is surrounded on three sides by trees and on this fourth (north) side bordered by a narrow courtyard, so it was not possible with a standard lens to get the whole building in the shot.

The civic parish church (Anglican) of Richmond-upon-Thames. It dates principally from 1750, although parts of the tower are earlier, and the east end (chancel, organ and chapel) date from 1904. It is surrounded by a small burial ground. The building is grade 2* listed (list entry number 1180602).
