taken 15 years ago, near to Ware, Hertfordshire, England

Chadwell Spring boundary marker stone
Chadwell Spring boundary marker stone
The marker stone at Chadwell Spring, source of the New River, specifying the boundaries of the New River Company's land here. The lengths inscribed on the upper sides of the stone are those from it to the company's boundaries. The pool into which the spring rises is in the background. Because of its shape some locals refer to this as "The Banjo".
