SJ8382 : Quarry Bank Mill and Headrace

taken 9 years ago, near to Styal, Cheshire, Great Britain

Quarry Bank Mill and Headrace
Quarry Bank Mill and Headrace
The final sluice gate before the headrace disappears below ground heading for the distant mill. A relatively small amount of water now flows, sufficient to keep the replacement wheel ticking over. The debris screen appears to be fairly modern. Pan left SJ8382 : Headrace overflow weir.
