J3145 : The source of the River Lagan

taken 14 years ago, 3 km from Finnis, Co Down, Northern Ireland

The source of the River Lagan
The source of the River Lagan
Almost but not quite. This was the most accessible spot. The source is just out of picture to the right but had less than next to no water. This J3474 : The River Lagan, Belfast (3) and this J3475 : Two Stena ferries, Belfast show the Lagan near the end of its journey downstream.
The path to Slieve Croob :: J2945

A surfaced track, running from a small car park on the Dree Hill road, serves the communication masts on Slieve Croob (1,755ft). As well as allowing full access to the summit it has views over (and beyond) much of Co Down. There is no provision for wheelchair access.
