HP4805 : Looking east from Birrier

taken 14 years ago, near to Gloup, Mainland, Shetland Islands, Scotland

Looking east from Birrier
Looking east from Birrier
The turf on top of Birrier is cropped close as a carpet by rabbits and sheep. The stack itself is long and narrow, running parallel to the coast and is connected by a narrow neck to the mainland. There are at least two other stacks on Shetland called Birrier which have exactly the same shape.
