The church of St Mary Magdalen > was constructed1903 by diocesan architect AJ Lacey. It is situated only a short distance away from St James Pockthorpe > Link which now houses a puppet theatre. When the church was closed its painted roodscreen panels as well as the baptismal font > Link were moved up the road to St Mary's and added to the modern interior. The east window > Link was made by the firm of King & Sons of Norwich. One of the nave north windows > Link contains medieval English and 17th century Continental stained glass.
