The Wanstum Walk near Plumpudding Equestrian Centre
The long distance walk leads from the Northern Sea Wall near Birchington, towards the railway and onwards through Wade Marsh towards St. Nicholas at Wade.
The Wantsum Walk
A linear coastal walk in North Kent, which runs for 8 miles (12.8km) from Herne Bay to Birchington. The route is divided between clifftops and sea wall, leading to paths within Reculver Country Park. Inland are panoramic views of the low-lying marshes and dykes. There are strong connections with the former Wantsum Channel, which separated the Isle of Thanet from the mainland until Medieval times
