Walton Road descending Six Mile Hill (1)
Walton Road descends Six Mile Hill towards the end-on junction with Ebbisham Lane. The road is unsurfaced, but the eroded ground is filled here with fibresand, to provide uninterrupted going for race horses in training, which cross the road here. The barrier is used to guide horses in training on Six Mile Hill across Walton Road, using a crossing point which will be filled with fibresand to provide consistent going.
