On the traditional seafront this bench installation invites interaction and comment as its coloured and slatted form writhes around litter bins, warps into recesses and even dives into the tarmac at certain points. It's certainly original (as far as I know), memorable and turns a 'boring' or predictable seafront stroll into a more thought provoking exercise. How it may weather the elements, the artistic evaluation of vandals and the costs of maintenance remains to be seen.
