NZ2265 : Fenham Hall DriveSir James Knott, shipowner (Prince Line) and philanthropist built a church in 1931, at the corner of Fenham Hall Drive and Wingrove Street dedicated to St Basil and St James, in memory of the two sons he lost during WWI.

His other son later died without issue and the family fortunes went into the Charitable Trust his father had founded to support deserving Northeast England charities. The Prince Line was acquired by Furness Withy.
