The church is dedicated to the martyred Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Becket. It was founded in the 12th century. The oldest surviving part is the chancel, with three Norman windows. The east window is 14th century. The nave and tower date from the mid-15th century. The north aisle was added in 1846-8.
