TQ3980 : Mast supports, O2 Arena

taken 14 years ago, near to Blackwall Tunnel, Greenwich, England

Mast supports, O2 Arena
Mast supports, O2 Arena
I am assuming these structures are something to do with the masts that support the roof of the Arena as there are twelve of each and their positions coincide but confirming information is hard to find. The view of both the Arena and these cylindrical towers from the Thames Path is marred by an unsightly security fence. In fact the entire area, with its unkempt, scrubby lawns looks distinctly shabby for a major attraction.
