Newlands Valley
Newlands Valley
An example of a U shaped glacial valley. Taken from high on Dale Head.
Newlands is a quiet corner with only a rough private road for the last couple of miles. The valley floor has an area of enclosed farmland, and there is much evidence of past mining activity, mainly for copper and lead.
