Diglis Basin, Worcester
Looking towards the top lock (hidden to the right of the white house) leading to the River Severn. Here the Worcester and Birmingham Canal descends to the river by means of two eighteen foot wide locks, a drop also of about eighteen feet (5.5 metres) to normal river levels. On the day of this image the weather had been dreadful for about five hours, and it had just stopped raining.
