River Gade flows into Grand Union Canal
River Gade flows into Grand Union Canal
Before the canal was built the Gade used to join the River Bulbourne about 200 metres south of here at Two Waters. The Canal intersected this route; the river was used to top up the canal and the excess water was taken off via an over-flow on the other side of the main road (opposite B&Q). This then flows behind a row of old cottages to join the Bulbourne.
