The bridge starting to lift. Part of Renfrewshire Doors Open Days the bridge was opened. Constructed by Sir William Arrol & Co. Ltd. at a cost of £62,000, the Grade A listed bridge carrying the A8 over the White Cart Water was officially opened on 28 March 1923.
