Five from the Fifth
Five from the Fifth
If you have ever wondered why the junction of the A614, the A57 and the north bound and south bound A1 was known as Five Lane Ends, you now know. This fifth lane is classed as a by-way. This scene is due for some major changes in the next few months as the traffic islands on the A1 are removed in preparation for motorway status.
