Geograph - photograph every grid square

On this part of the moor, the area near the trig point is open ground (NS3778 : Trig point near Kipperoch Farm), but, towards the south (downhill), it becomes progressively more overgrown with gorse bushes, and then with trees, as can be seen in this photograph; compare NS3778 : Moorland above Kipperoch Farm.

The hills in the background are on the far side of the River Clyde. The highest point on the distant skyline, right of centre, just before the hills are obscured by the nearer moorland, is Cruach nan Capull (NS0979).
