This was a case of an opportunity missed. The afternoon otter (Lutra lutra) talk/feeding was imminent; I spotted "Thistle", with her three cubs, which were born on 7th July 2010. Nicely grouped, with an excellent portrait in the making. Unfortunately, as I approached, two cubs headed off to hide; joined shortly by the third. "Thistle", on the left, went in the other direction; to the keeper, and food.
