This York townhouse, now a public house, was the birth place of the Guy Fawkes, born 13 April 1570. Baptised in St. Michael le Belfrey church opposite. Infamous for his 'Gunpowder Plot' to blow up the English Houses of Parliament, London, on 5th November 1605.
