Senhouse Museum, Maryport
Built as a Naval Reserve battery in 1885. Now a museum exhibiting finds associated with the Roman port settlement at Maryport LinkExternal link. The picture is taken from inside the old Roman fort. The tower on the left is a reconstruction of the type of tower the Romans might have built to keep an eye on the unruly Scots over the Solway Firth.
