The Pipe Hall in Bilston, Wolverhampton
This listed building was built in 1810 on the corner of Hall Street and The Orchard. The Pipe family were large local landowners by Elizabethan times and Sir Richard Pipe was Sheriff of London in 1572 and Lord Mayor of London in 1578. As the local Pipe family line died out more than half a century before this building's construction, details are vague regarding its original purpose.

Gavin's Sports Bar, the last business operating here ceased trading after the landlord was shot dead in July 2009. He was not actually the target of the killer and was a world class Kabbadi player, also professional wrestler.

There is an interesting old photograph of this "Pipe Hall Hotel" on this web page, right at the foot of all the details: LinkExternal link
