Fields by the River Soar Navigation

In the background just in SK5815 is a bridge of the former Mountsorrel Railway which ran for about 9 miles between the Midland Railway at Barrow and Switland Sidings on the Great Central Railway. It fell into disuse about 50 years ago. Currently there is a conveyor belt along the trackbed of the railway from Mountsorrel to Barrow.
