Tan-y-Graig in Pengwern Vale - from above
Llwybr Ceiriog Trail. View of Tan-y-Graig and Pengwern Vale from above - compare with the close-up view in
SJ2240 : Tan y graig in Pengwern Vale. If Tan-y-Graig is "below the crag" then I guess this is the crag! The laws of optics have tended to flatten out the very steep slope down from the trail into the vale, but the scale of the buildings gives a clue! The trail has almost completed its traverse of the southern slopes of the Vale of Llangollen to the east and is returning to the county road before continuing west along the ridge separating the Dyfrdwy and Ceiriog valleys. The telecommunications masts shown in
SJ2340 : New lease of life are behind the photographer and a little further east.
