Keeled Skimmer dragonfly resting
Just a short way along the walk northeast from Llygad Llwchwr to Carreg Cennen Castle is a long shallow ditch along the north side of the track, which attracts dragonflies.
This one was taking a well deserved rest on a stone after flitting up and down the ditch, looking for its differently coloured mate - who was busy laying eggs by repeatedly punching the water with its tail.
