View northward from the B3135 overbridge at the summit of the 8 miles at 1-in-50/60 from Radstock, LMS 2P 4-4-0 No.40700 heads the 13.10 stopping train from Bath (Green Park) to Templecombe (the northern half of the celebrated S&D Bath - Bournemouth West line, closed in March 1966): the fireman can now rest for the next 8 miles to Everecreech Junction. A peaceful rural scene in the Mendip Hills.
