TF8445 : The end of Gun Hill

taken 14 years ago, near to Burnham Overy Staithe, Norfolk, England

The end of Gun Hill
The end of Gun Hill
With water draining out of the steep end of the spit at the boundary between permeable sand and shingle and the less permeable mud beneath. The steepness is due to the competing processes of westward drift along the spit and the erosion by the tidal flows in Overy Creek between here and Scolt Head Island.
