SH8514 : Wesleyan Chapel

taken 18 years ago, near to Dinas Mawddwy, Gwynedd, Wales

Wesleyan Chapel
Wesleyan Chapel
dated 1868, in the main street of Dinas Mawddwy. Dated just one year after and standing almost next door to SH8514 : Ebenezer Chapel. It needs a double-take on the tops of the windows to confirm that they are different. When the slate industry was at its height, the population here was much higher (and more devout) but were these two chapels and Bethel, just round the corner, all full of a Sunday? See Richard Knight Williams' list of chapels: LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) .
