Burnham on Sea has had a church on this site since at least the early fourteenth century, and some parts appear to date from around that time. Its seafront location must have had a lot of sand in the foundations, and hence the alterations to the blueprints have had to be included as it was being built. The result is the characteristic variations on the horizontals.

This famously leaning tower is 78' high and is reputedly 3' out of true.

See ST3049 : St Andrew's church tower for a fuller view of the tower.
