St Magnus House, Pool of London
This shot has been taken to provide a modern view closely matching
TQ3280 : MV Dragon in the Pool of London as seen in 1967.
From left to right we see: Adelaide House still there with the National Westminster Tower (now called Tower 42) behind it. Something has been built on the roof of Adelaide House so we can only just see the tips of The Monument and the spire of St Magnus-the-Martyr. New Fresh Wharf has been replaced by: a gap - presumably to enable the nave of St Magnus-the-Martyr to be seen from the river and St Magnus House, 3 Lower Thames Street with 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) behind it. The blue glass is The Northern and Shell Building. The spire of St Dunstan-in-the-East can just be seen but most of the tower is now obscured by Centennium House.
