Sign for the Busby Stoop
Sign for the Busby Stoop
This chair could be the seat of one Thomas Busby who was hanged for murder in 1702. The chair stood in the pub and it was said to be haunted. It is safely in Thirsk Museum now so that it can't cause the premature death of anyone who sits in it.
