SK5420 : The Gap

taken 10 years ago, near to Loughborough, Leicestershire, Great Britain

The Gap
The Gap
This is the removed embankment north of Loughborough station (preserved), taken from the canal bridge over the Grand Union Canal. The Great Central railway (Nottingham) is only a short distance (500m) from here. The plan is to connect the two by rebuilding the embankment and rebuilding a railway bridge over the Midland mainline.
