Excalibur explores the seabed off Wylfa Head
'Excalibur' is a jackable barge hired by New Horizon Nuclear Power from Fugro Seacore. It is registered in Vanuatu. It is to study the geology off Wylfa Head in the week beginning 15 Nov 2010. This will provide information to be used in a planning application for the construction of a Wylfa 'B' Nuclear Power Station. This the proposed location for the outfall pipeline for cooling water from the station. The old coastguard lookout is on the cliff top.
