The Buoys, Belfast (9)
See J3374 : The buoys, Belfast (8). A bit more graffiti added since the previous photo in February. I can’t help thinking that they might have a better chance (and look better too) here J3474 : Donegall Quay restoration, Belfast (8).
The Buoys, Titanic Quarter, Belfast
The buoys stood outside the Art College, (part of the University of Ulster), at the corner of Donegall Street and York Street. When erected in 1979 they were quite a novelty and included jets of water squirting from below. Time (and various elements of aerosol society) has not treated them well. The jets of water are no more. They were a gift from the Commissioners of Irish Lights.
Subsequently moved to the Titanic Quarter.
