Bog near Darngavel
Some of the pre-forestry and mining landscape of the area. The view is from the open cast spoil heap, looking over a large area of peat bog on the east-west watershed of Scotland. Mining and forestry have confused the drainage, but I think this stream runs to the Clyde. Water from the far end of the clearing enters the Firth of Forth.
