Sundorne Castle
Sundorne Castle
Not really a fortification, of course, but it provides a spectacular entrance to the farm (which is itself far from spectacular). Farm buildings lean against the back of the battlemented wall, which is terminated by what appears to be a chapel.
It was built by John Corbett circa 1800. Beyond the chapel used to be a large country house, now gone. For a picture and more details, see LinkExternal link
