NU1827 : Former trough near Preston

taken 15 years ago, near to Chathill, Northumberland, England

Former trough near Preston
Former trough near Preston
Presumably a trough. Its proximity to the railway at Chathill may have some bearing on the inscription:
"A THANK OFFERING
NOV 30, 1887
GIVEN BY
L. BAKER CRESSWELL
THE LORD SHALL PRESERVE
THY GOING OUT AND THY COMING IN"
The Baker Cresswells lived at Preston Tower.
