Hythe Pier
This is the "country" terminus of the Hythe Ferry, that starts from Town Quay in Southampton. It provides a regular service across the River Test and Southampton Water, terminating at this pier, from where the world's oldest pier railway takes people along the pier to the town. The town has grown into a commuting centre, relying on the ferry. This view was taken from the much larger Isle of Wight car ferry.
