Stanton post mill -the winding arrangements
Stanton post mill (see TL9773 : Stanton Postmill) is automatically turned to face the wind (winding) by this fan tail mechanism. The gear train from the fan to the two metal tyred wheels is clearly seen and includes a reused automobile differential.

The wooden clad buck rotates above the brick roundhouse below it.
