Church Lane, Brighouse
On the 1889 1:500 town plan, this was Church Street, and Parsonage Lane was Parsonage Street. The house was Mayfield and is now captioned Hillside on the large-scale OS map. Rydings Hall Surgery is on the left, and Church Lane Surgery on the right. The latter is on the site of a driveway, with shrubbery each side, to Well Close House. This driveway had apparently bee abandoned by 1905, as it is not shown on the 1907 1:2500 map on which the plot is shown as woodland.
