Hartshead Power Station
Hartshead Power Station was a coal-fired power station at Heyrod. It was opened in 1926, with the cooling towers being constructed in the 1940s. The station was closed in 1979 and demolished during the 1980s, although part of the site is still used as an electrical substation.
