Geograph - photograph every grid square

This is the scene at 12:00 on Christmas Day 2010, at the junction with Birchwood Road. About 12-15cm of snow was lying a week ago, and another 6-8 cm fell on that a bit later. The temperature has only twice just exceeded 0°C since then. Night temperatures have been down to -8°C in my garden, and the current midday temperature is -4°C.

The houses are probably 1920s built. Further down the road, buildings are a little older. A public footpath by the post box leads past Alexandra Road and through to Goldthorn Hill.
