The High Road, Galashiels, 1963
This photo taken by my mother shows the conditions that prevailed in the winter of 1963. Note the old style telegraph pole on the left and the large TV aerials on the houses in the central background. A youngster is being pulled along on a sledge by a young cyclist on the hard packed snow. This is a copy from a Kodachrome slide and the date on the slide mount is March 1963.
