The alley continues the line of Rosemary Lane north beyond its junction with St John Street. A gap site on the left was created when buildings next to the former Wenger's Department Store were demolished in 1995 LinkExternal link
At the top of the lane are the rear buildings of City Vaults, a large pub and nightclub off Bigg Market NZ2464 : Bigg Market, west side. The alley is blocked by the smoking terrace.
