Photo taken from Holy Cross Churchyard. There is no easy view of the front of the building as it is hidden by trees. There is a photo dated c1900 here LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
Over the front entrance are the arms of Bishop Crewe, with the date 1709. On a small plate on the left side of the door is the date 1612. The windows on the west side of the house are thought to be as early as the C15th. It is now two separate houses.
