SO0920 : Vegetation boundary

taken 14 years ago, near to Aber Village, Powys, Great Britain

Vegetation boundary
Vegetation boundary
The vegetation changes abruptly within a few metres from bracken to heather on the way up from Aber village in the Caerfanell valley onto the main Brecon Beacons ridge. This eastern end of the ridge is a lot less busy than the central section!

The high ground in W is covered with scrub such as shown, lower down there is some farmland (grazing) and woodland.
