SO2923 : St Martin's Church

taken 13 years ago, near to Cwmyoy, Monmouthshire/Sir Fynwy, Wales

St Martin's Church
St Martin's Church
Cwmyoy church is heavily buttressed and leans in all sorts of directions as a result of being built on unstable ground from the nearby landslip. It has been called the most crooked church in the country and it is easy to see why. Have a look inside as it is most disconcerting (and there is a good description of the geology, with diagrams). The only things which seem level are the pews!
